PP4 Version Changes: Prepare, Update and Check Your Profile
Find your PP4 release number, protect account access during an update and tell a moved feature from a fault that needs support.
Before replacing PP4 on your phone, find out which release is already there. An update is easier to assess when you can compare two version numbers and know how to reopen your account. The steps below cover that preparation, the checks to make afterward and the information to keep when a familiar feature starts behaving differently. A new filename alone does not explain what will change.
Find the version behind the announcement
Look in the About menu or the phone’s application information for the installed release identifier. Compare it with the version offered by your distribution source. Words such as new and latest are less useful than an actual number and accompanying notes.
Read for changes to supported devices, sign-in and the catalogue. A feature may have moved without being removed. An old screenshot can remind you which preference you used, but expect the route to that preference to differ after a redesign.
Finish the current session before updating
Let the active round end and check its result. Confirm the login method, recovery contact and account reference, keeping those details private. If you use a guest profile, find its recovery instructions; local progress may behave differently from information linked to an account.
Allow space for both the download and installation. Reuse a checked source and compare the publisher. If Android reports a conflict, read it before uninstalling anything. Removing the app may also remove settings or progress that exist only on this device.
Reopen the app and check the basics
Wait for the download to finish, then follow the installation messages without skipping warnings. On reopening PP4, verify the version and profile. Review the language, audio and notifications before returning to the library.
Run through a few familiar screens:
- Is the account reference the one you expected?
- Do the catalogue and support area open?
- Can you find the controls you normally use?
- Does a finished round display its result as usual?
For an apparently missing feature, search the current menus and release notes first. A different location does not mean the underlying information has been erased.
Describe what actually changed
A button in a new menu needs a different response from a page that never loads. For a loading fault, record the selected game, network type and exact error. When the active operation ends, return to the catalogue and see whether other titles are affected too.
If the issue started with the update, give support the previous and current versions where known. Describe the shortest set of actions that reproduces the problem. An unknown older package is not a dependable fix merely because somebody says it brings the button back.
Keep version changes separate from offer terms
Current installation choices come from the access page. Game modes, promotions and account services each have their own conditions. Updating does not establish that every phone is now supported, that a reward is available or that withdrawal rules have changed. Read the notice for the feature you intend to use.
