Moving PP8 to Another Phone: Verify Access and Saved Progress
Prepare a PP8 device change, compare account identifiers and understand local data before removing the original installation.
A phone change is often when you discover which information belonged to an account and which lived only on the old handset. Before moving PP8, establish that difference. Keep a short record of the profile and recent progress while you can still open them. It is much easier to compare two working installations than to describe missing information after the original copy has been erased.
Choose a release made for the new device
Read the publisher and package information at the linked destination. Check which devices the offered release supports. An Android APK is not evidence of an iPhone or desktop version, and renaming the downloaded file will not convert it.
If the page offers browser access, use its specific instructions. For an installed app, compare the release requirements with the operating system and free storage on the new phone. Allow the transfer to finish before starting setup; a partially downloaded file cannot establish compatibility.
Save the profile reference while it is available
On the old phone, find the account identifier and note how you sign in. Verify that you can still use the recovery phone number or email. Guest sessions deserve a separate check: read their transfer process instead of assuming a later login will restore everything stored locally.
Locate the most recent progress record and keep a private note of it with the profile reference. That gives you a comparison point after moving. There is no need to share a full account image when a limited reference answers the question.
Compare records before deleting either copy
Install a checked release on the new handset and choose the same sign-in method. Inspect the identifier, recent history and preferences. A matching display name alone does not prove you have entered the intended profile.
Leave the original app in place until the comparison is complete. If something differs, save the details without changing many settings or opening more accounts. Support will need to know which devices and profile were involved, and what each installation showed.
Adjust to the new screen and menus
Even a successful account transfer can leave controls feeling different on another screen size. Review text, sound and input options where provided. Read one game’s instructions again before settling back into a familiar routine.
Catalogue changes can accompany a different release. If an icon is absent, inspect filters and service notices. The loss of a library entry does not, by itself, establish that the account or saved progress failed to transfer.
Understand what a reset would remove
Clearing cached files and deleting application data are different operations. Data removal can erase local preferences or progress. Find out what PP8 stores and how it is restored before following a general suggestion to clear everything.
Keep the installed version and a description of the fault you are trying to fix. If a reinstall is the appropriate next step, have the recovery method ready and check the profile after signing in again. Repeating setup without recording the issue makes each attempt harder to compare.
Ask about the specific missing progress
Use the operator’s documented help channel. Provide the profile reference, both handset models and the last time the expected progress appeared. Explain whether the old phone still displays it. Do not include passwords or one-time verification codes.
For library navigation, read PP7; for interpreting session history, use PP9 records. The collection can be browsed without opening a download. Keep access to the original phone until you have confirmed the intended account and information on the replacement.
